Sub: - Grant of Sabbatical leave and leave for Hysterectomy for women employees.

Ref: - 1. GOI order no. F. No. 9/20/2011 – IR, MOF, DFS dated 28-02-2012                    addressed to all PSBs.
              2. Our ref. no. 722 dated 09-03-2013 addressed to the Director, DFS, MOF,                    GOI.
              3. Our ref. no. 25 dated 12-11-2013 addressed to the Joint Secretary, DFS,                    MOF, GOI.

We draw you kind attention to the above and also to the part of the GOI no. F. No. 7/6/2011 – RRB dated 08-09-2011 on operational integration on HRD and related issues of RRBs, advising that – “RRBs should, as far as possible adopt HR practices as in the respective sponsor banks”.

2. Sir, NABARD, HO in terms of the JCC decision have recommended to the GOI vide their letter dated 22-03-2011 for consideration of extending staff benefits in line with the scheme available in Sponsor Banks.

3. As the above benefits have already been extended to the women employees of Banking Sector, the same should be extended to RRBs also.

We therefore request you Sir, to kindly look into the matter and advise extension of the above benefits to the women employees in the RRB sector too at your earliest.
